Then the prophet Miriam, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women went out after her with tambourines and with dancing. (Exodus 15:20)

Miriam’s Song centers the healing, wholeness, and flourishing of Women of Color guided by the divine liberation embodied in the person of Jesus.

Miriam’s Song church welcomes, affirms, and celebrates the dopeness of all women of color in the fullness of their queerness, gender fluidness, ability, joy, exhaustion, faith, and doubts.

We believe that healing, wholeness, and flourishing for women of color will happen when we practice community away from the white and male gaze.

We seek wisdom from our spiritual foremothers and ancestors in the Bible and in our families.

We encourage curiosity over certainty.

We reclaim traditions and liturgy to reimagine the church as a place of liberation.
